REGULATIONS

The general regulations of IIU shall govern studies and examinations for the Certificate of Proficiency.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be credit unit is equivalent to 15 hours.ve accumulated 55 credit units of which 32 must be a diploma level.e admitted to the Certificate in Insurance the following shall apply:

  1. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) certificate with a minimum of three passes. OR
  2. Possession of appropriate or relevant professional qualifications.

SELECTION OF THE COURSES

Certificate of Proficiency (COP)

From the programme structure of eight courses that will be offered, a student will qualify for the Certificate of Proficiency by sitting and being examined in two course units.

To be awarded a Certificate of Proficiency, one must have completed two course units as follows;

- One (1) Compulsory (mandatory) course unit,

- One (1) Core Insurance course units

REGISTRATION OF STUDENTS

 The central Registration of students shall be conducted at the Insurance Institute of Uganda.

The admission intakes for this programme will be;

·   January for the March examinations and

                           -  July for the September examinations.
